This online survey included 7,742 men and 13,905 women. 58 percent of those surveyed were aged between 23 and 30 and had an income of between 2,001 and 5,000 yuan.

This survey shows the reasons for the renewed popularity of matchmaking in China in 2011. Around 15 percent of participants in China stated that they believed that matchmaking is going through a period of renewed popularity because of its increasing presence on television and in the media.
