In a romantic relationship, which of the below are "deal-breakers" for you?
Among 2,628 survey respondents, approximately 73 percent were female and 27 percent were male; nearly 60 percent were single people and 28 percent were in a relationship but not married; around 92 percent were born after 1990; nearly 97 percent had undergraduate/college or higher educational degree; around 65 percent were from 1st tier and new 1st tier cities and around 17 percent were from 2nd tier cities.

Deal-breakers in a romantic relationship in China 2021, by gender
According to a survey conducted on WeChat in China in the end of 2021, more female than male respondents had specific deal-breakers in a romantic relationship. Forced sex/violence and disagreement on major life plans were the most unacceptable behavior or circumstances in a romantic relationship for female respondents with ** and ** percent approval rate respectively. For men, disagreement on life plans and not finding a common language were the top two deal-breakers in a relationship with ** and ** percent of respondents confirming this.
