This statistic shows the perspectives of teenagers in the United States on the effects of social media on people their own age as of April 2018. The findings reveal that 31 percent of responding teenagers in the U.S. said that they feel that social media has a mostly positive effect on people their own age, compared to 24 percent who said that feel it has a negative effect.
