Burger King merged with Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons under parent company Restaurant Brands International in December 2014. On March 27, 2017, Restaurant Brands International (RBI) acquired Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries. Firehouse Subs was acquired by RBI in 2021.
