During the winter of 2024/25, U.S. consumers paid an average of 16 U.S. cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity for heating. This was the highest figure recorded in the indicated period. Prices were forecast to increase in the following winter, averaging 17.4 U.S. cents per kilowatt-hour.
