The Danish international shipping company APM-Maersk topped the rankings as the world's leading ship operator in terms of capacity of owned ships, with a capacity of around 2.5 million TEU as of April 30, 2022. They are followed by the Mediterranean Shg Co who have a capacity of some 1.7 million TEU, and the COSCO Group with a capacity of around 1.6 million TEU, ranking second and third, respectively.
