The existing chartered fleet takes into account ships chartered out by non-operating owners to operators, thus it does not take into account 116 ships for 462,573 TEUs which are normally owned by an owner-operator but are chartered out to another operator, either for operational reasons (operational exchanges within alliances or partnerships) or because they are surplus to their owners requirements.
