According to a survey carried out across the European Union in 2026, parents were more likely to think social media has a negative impact on their children's well-being compared to the children themselves. Over a of parents thought that social media had a negative impact on their children's mental health compared to ** percent of children who were asked about social media's impact on their well-being. Conversely, almost **** of the teenagers surveyed felt that social media was good for their mental health.
