From 2020 to 2024, the fastest growth in the value of transactions in Ireland was that of e-money payments, which happened in 2020. The rate of growth of e-money payments was recorded as over 1,600 percent that year. Across the observed period, the growth rate of e-money payment value remained positive and sat at near 50 percent in 2024. Credit transfers experienced a 57 percent rate of growth in value in 2020, which decreased to 12 percent by 2024.
