Public opinion: government to insure healthcare coverage in the U.S. 2025, by party
According to a 2025 survey among U.S. adults, overall, of respondents think the federal government is responsible for making sure all Americans have healthcare. However, this is dependent on the respondent's party affiliation. Democrats were much more likely to agree that the government should insure healthcare coverage; some ** percent said so. Meanwhile, only ** percent of Republicans believed the healthcare coverage responsibility lies with the government. Respondents were also split on how healthcare should be provided.
