This statistic indicates the share of women who had experienced street harassment in 2021 in a selection of countries. Out of the total women surveyed, more than ** percent reported having been harassed on the street. This rate varies significantly depending on the country. For example, in South Africa, more than one in two women had already been a victim, compared to less than ** percent in France or Canada. The United Kingdom, meanwhile, was the country with the lowest rate at ** percent.
