The figures are based on data compiled by the OECD from various national time use surveys of the countries included in the statistics.
The data are normalized to 1440 minutes per day. In other words, for countries where time use does not total 1440 minutes, the missing minutes are evenly distributed across all activities.
The age group is 15 to 64 years for all countries except Australia (15+), Belgium (12+), Greece (10+), Poland (15+), Sweden (25-64), and China (15-74).
