According to data recorded in 2024, nearly ** percent of remittance income in Mexico came from the United States. Given the geographical proximity and the social and economic conditions of both countries, the United States is also the main destination country for remittances sent from Mexico, although with a significantly lower percentage, less than ** percent. Colombia was the second main destination for money transfers from Mexico abroad during the same period, accounting for around ** percent of remittance outflows.
