Suffering at work

While ** percent of French people report feeling good at work, more than half have observed a deterioration in their professional well-being. This situation can prove problematic for the company by causing, for example, sick leaves not justified by health reasons, but rather related to weariness at work or a conflictual situation within the company.
Among the main reasons for suffering at work, the French cite exhaustion, moral harassment, and especially deplore recurring stress, primarily caused by an excessive workload. In some cases, the situation leads to burnout.

Bringing well-being to work

In the face of this alarming observation, solutions exist. First and foremost is improving relationships with management. While employees expect their manager to be attentive, more than half do not feel listened to by their hierarchical superiors. Furthermore, a quarter of them feel that the quality of their work is not recognized.
Accessibility and commuting time to work are also among the most cited elements of well-being by active French workers. The workspace also plays a major role in how employees feel. Thus, they tend to prefer working in an office rather than in an open space.
