The unemployment rate in Greece has steadily decreased over the last decade. In 2023, it stood at 11.1 percent, a figure that represents less than half of the value reported in 2013. Despite this remarkable improvement, Greece is the second country with the highest unemployment rate in the European Union, only behind Spain.
