Proportion of mobile internet traffic in Mexico by technology 2015-2023
The 4G connection has existed since 2015, as an evolution of 3G. Since then, the use of 4G has continued to grow, replacing 3G connections worldwide. In Mexico, it was in May 2017 when mobile data traffic over 4G connections surpassed that of 3G traffic for the first time. In November 2022, only ** percent of mobile data in Mexico operated on the 3G network, while ** percent of the traffic was carried over the 4G network.
