The IBEX 35 is the main benchmark stock index of the Spanish stock market, composed of the 35 most liquid stocks traded on the Interconnection System of the four Spanish stock exchanges (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Valencia). Technically, it is a price index, weighted by capitalization and adjusted for the free float of each company included in the index. Its base value is 3,000 as of December 31, 1989.
The IBEX 35 index with dividends takes into account the adjustment for dividend payments and other remunerations equivalent to dividends.
