In 2022, Mexico positioned itself as the leader in the commercialization of battery electric light vehicles (BEV) in Latin America and the Caribbean with registrations of this type of vehicle, followed by Colombia with more than new registrations of light vehicles powered by electric motors. In the field of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, Brazil positioned itself as the leader in the region with nearly registrations in 2022. Considering also hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), Brazil again leads with more than * new registrations. When all registrations are combined, the South American giant leads the region with more than * electric vehicles registered in 2022.
