While mobile phones are gaining ground over landlines among the younger generations, the smartphone is particularly popular. It is owned by more than 94 percent of those under 30, and still over 90 percent among those aged 30 to 44. In contrast, almost half of those aged 60 to 74 and two-thirds of those over 74 do not own a smartphone.
