Real estate developers are private companies that manage an entire real estate project, from raising funds for the construction of the building to its marketing and delivery.
This ranking reveals the number of employees of the main real estate developers in France in 2019. It can be seen that in that year, the French real estate company Nexity employed more than 2,500 people nationwide. Furthermore, the revenue generated by Nexity the same year was 3.4 billion U.S. dollars.

Altarea
Altarea, the second largest real estate developer in France by workforce and sales value behind Nexity, specializes not only in the housing sector but also in commercial real estate (offices and retail). Indeed, with revenue exceeding three billion U.S. dollars in 2020 despite the health crisis, its income mainly comes from the housing sector (2.4 billion U.S. dollars). Moreover, Altarea employed nearly 2,000 people in 2020 at the European level, the majority of whom were hired on permanent contracts in France.

Vinci Immobilier
As for Vinci Immobilier, it is the fifth largest real estate developer in France. A subsidiary of Vinci, the largest construction company in the country, Vinci Immobilier is also active in the residential and commercial real estate sectors. The company generated nearly 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in revenue in 2020, and its workforce in Europe amounted to 1,371 the same year, including 1,354 people employed in France.
