According to a survey conducted among Australian consumers in August 2024, the most popular item purchased at service stations among convenience-only shoppers not buying fuel in the under-25 age cohort was cold beverages, at ** percent of respondents. In comparison, the most popular item bought at service stations among convenience-only shoppers not purchasing fuel who were 60 or over was a newspaper or magazine.Â
