ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations and is a political and economic union composed of the ten member states Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.Â
In 2024, ASEAN's electricity generation amounted to more than terawatt-hours. Electricity generation in the region steadily increased from 2015 to 2024, except for a small decline in 2020.
