The adoption of artificial intelligence in the workplace is creating a significant divide along income lines, with high-income workers far more likely to use and trust AI compared to their low-income counterparts. This gap highlights potential inequalities in access to and comfort with emerging technologies that could shape future job markets and career opportunities.
While income levels play a crucial role in AI adoption, geographic and economic factors also contribute to usage patterns. India stands out as a leader in AI integration, with ** percent of workers using AI and ** percent expressing trust in the technology. This contrasts sharply with the Czech Republic, where only ** percent use AI and ** percent trust it.Â
Age also influences AI adoption and trust levels. Employees under ** report the highest AI use at ** percent and trust at ** percent, while those over ** lag behind with ** percent use and ** percent trust. It is unsurprising that younger generations, most likely in the early stages of their careers and thus in positions requiring less experience, are likely to be more impacted by AI. By this they also utilize it and trust it further, as opposed to older generations.
