According to a survey in Southeast Asia between October and November 2023, consumers in Southeast Asia showed preference for real-time payments (RTP) over credit/ debit card payments for different payment purposes, except in the case of cross-border transactions. Around ** percent of respondents in the region reported preferring card payments in cross-border transactions.
