Supplementary notes
E-commerce transactions refer to online purchases of goods and services by consumers from businesses through the internet, regardless of the device or app used. Figures represent consumer-to-business (C2B) transactions only, excluding business-to-business (B2B), person-to-government (P2G), and transactions involving motor vehicles, real estate, rent, investments, tuition, utilities, or other bill or loan payments, including installments.
Point-of-sale (POS) transactions refer to consumer-to-business (C2B) transactions conducted at a physical point of sale, including traditional in-store purchases and any face-to-face commerce, regardless of location. Payments that involve internet use during in-person interactions—such as those made through QR codes—are categorized as point-of-sale, not e-commerce.Ìý
