Informal employment includes individuals who, in their primary or secondary jobs, are: (a) self-employed workers, employers, and cooperative members working in their own informal sector businesses; (b) self-employed workers producing goods solely for their household’s final use, such as in subsistence farming; (c) unpaid family workers, regardless of whether the business is formal or informal; and (d) employees in informal jobs, whether they work for formal enterprises, informal businesses, or as domestic workers for households.
