According to a survey conducted during the second quarter of 2024, around 28 percent of gamers between the ages of 16 and 19 years considered couch co-op their favorite way to play video games. In contrast, only 13 percent of players aged 55 years and above preferred this mode of gaming. Couch co-op gaming, also know as local co-op gaming, refers to cooperative games that are designed for multiple players to be able to play on the same screen. Popular couch co-op games include Unravel, It Takes Two, and the recently released hit Split Fiction.
