According to a survey conducted in February 2025 among adults in the United States, younger age groups were generally more likely to play video games and to rate their video game skills highly. Around 21 percent of adults aged between 18 and 29 years reported having excellent video gaming skills, while only eight percent reported never having played a video game. In contrast, up to 44 percent of adults aged 65 years and older reported never playing video games, while only one percent said their gaming skills were excellent.
