Supplementary notes
According to the source, the German innovation survey has been conducted on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research by the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW, Mannheim) since 1993, in cooperation with the infas Institute for Applied Social Science, as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. Every two years the innovation survey is part of the European innovation survey (Community Innovation Survey - CIS) coordinated by Eurostat. All values have been extrapolated to represent all companies in Germany with at least five employees. Around 15,300 companies took part in the innovation survey in 2022 (= 56 percent of the sample size), among them 385 from rubber and synthetic materials processing. Rubber and synthetic materials processing includes: manufacturing and retreading tires, manufacturing rubber goods, panels, foil, hoses and profiles made from synthetic materials, packaging and construction products made from synthetic materials as well as other synthetic material products.Â
