According to a 2024 survey, ** percent of respondents between the ages of ** and ** in Saudi Arabia said that they lost weight during the month of Ramadan. The highest share of respondents who said that they gained weight during the month were between 18 and 24 years old, at ** percent. This was eight percent less than in the United Arab Emirates. In the same survey, ** percent said they saw Ramadan as an opportunity to reset their bodies, and ** percent said they tended to eat more home-cooked meals during the month.
