As of May 2024, survey respondents ranked industry sectors on a scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) based on how well they manage the transition to sustainable development. In Latin America, the **-ranked sector was the forest products industry, with ** percent of respondents rating it a * or *. In Europe, the leading sector was life sciences/biotechnology, according to ** percent of respondents. In the Asia-Pacific region and North America, information and communications technology (ICT) was considered the top-performing sector, with ** and ** percent of respondents, respectively, ranking it highly. Meanwhile, in Africa and the Middle East, ** percent of respondents viewed banking and finance as the best sector in managing its transition.
