In a 2024 survey, ** percent of men surveyed in the United Arab Emirates said that they lost weight during the month of Ramadan. This was *** percent higher than the country average. The highest share of respondents who said they lost weight during Ramadan were aged between 25 and 44 years old, also at ** percent. In the same survey, ** percent of respondents said they saw Ramadan as an opportunity to reset their bodies, and a similar share said they tended to eat more home-cooked meals during the month.
