In 2022, around 34 percent of survey respondents from rural areas reported having fair/poor oral health, as opposed to only 24 percent of suburban respondents. Additionally, one in ten respondents from rural regions reported feeling embarrassed very often because of their teeth, mouth, or dentures in the past year.
