A survey conducted in October 2024 highlighted that the budget and government spending was the main issue getting the attention of people in the Republic of Ireland at ** percent of respondents. This was followed by housing at ** percent of people, which was the issue getting the most attention in September. In that month, the joint-second issue was that of a bike shelter built in the grounds of the Irish Parliament, and the high costs associated with constructing it.Â
