In July 2024, the National Basketball Association (NBA) closed a new media rights deal with ESPN/ABC, NBC/Peacock, and Amazon Prime. In the deal, which runs from 2025/26 to 2036/37, it was agreed that Disney-owned ESPN/ABC will pay the NBA *** billion U.S. dollars a year for the right to broadcast ** regular season games, early round playoff games, and most Conference finals. Meanwhile, NBC/Peacock were given 100 regular season games, the All-Star game, early round playoff games, and a handful of Conference finals for *** billion U.S. dollars a year.
