In 2023, the total volume of plant crops grown in Israel, including fruits, vegetables, and grain, stood at about 4.7 million metric tons. Moreover, vegetables, potatoes and the gourd family accounted for the largest volume of production. Overall, the total volume of production peaked in 2015 at over 5 million metric tons. Despite the growth of the local population since then, plant production decreased.
