Growing global demand for avocado, has led the fruit to become an important agricultural export in Israel. Despite the strong export performance in 2024, avocado production in 2023 experienced a slight decline. That year, farmers produced ** metric tons of avocados, a * percent decrease from the previous year's peak of ** metric tons. However, it is worth noting that since 2019, avocado output in Israel has grown by almost ** percent, solidifying its position as a key agricultural export.

Growing exports of date fruit

Likewise, Israeli date fruit exports are leading local agricultural exports in terms of quantities and value. The 2023-2024 date export season peaked in the fourth quarter of 2023 at * metric tons. This reflected a substantial increase from the previous season, also in terms of value.
