Finland had the highest tax on spirits of all alcohol volumes in the European Union as of June 2025. One 0.7-liter bottle of spirits with an alcohol volume of 38 percent was taxed at  euros in Finland. In contrast, the same bottle of spirits would be taxed at just **** euros in Bulgaria.
