The NCAL (National center for assisted living) also uses CDC residential care community data.
In 2020, there were ** full-time equivalent (FTE) nursing and social work employees in assisted living communities* in the United States. Of these, **** were aides, while just **** percent were registered nurses. The share of nursing workforce has decreased in the past two years.
