The source notes that distances cycled are self-reported and likely overestimate the distance. The data is therefore most valuable as a comparison between weekdays.

The average distance cycled among cyclists in France is highest among the age group of 65 to 85-year-olds, who reported cycling an average of **** kilometers per week in 2023. The youngest age group surveyed, ** to 17-year-olds, cycled the shortest distances. However, this age group cycled some of the largest numbers of trips each week.
