In 2022, a survey found that the vast majority of respondents believed that, overall, the current government performed badly in handling key economic issues in South Africa. Around ** percent stated that the government performed poorly in keeping prices stable. Following this, ** percent cited that they failed to create jobs, and ** percent were convinced that they were unable to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor. On the other hand, only ** percent of respondents believed that the government performed well in managing the economy.Â
