Base: German-speaking population from 14 years of age in private households at main place of residence in the Federal Republic of Germany.

2021: 22,563 respondents, representing 70.54 million people.
2022: 23,015 respondents, representing 70.60 million people.

2024: 23,485 respondents, representing 70.48 million people.

During the survey, the question was asked in the following wording: “This list includes various cosmetic and body care products. Which of these have you personally used in the last seven days?”

Multiple answers were possible. The percentage total may therefore exceed 100 percent.

Citation formats

In 2025, around **** percent of consumers in Germany had used shower products in the last seven days, which was a slight increase compared to the previous two years. Perhaps predictably so, other leading products used within the last week at the time of the survey were shampoo and deodorant.
