In January 2024, around 65 percent of all respondents believed that the other parties in the Bundestag should engage more closely with the AfD. However, almost half of respondents thought the state funding for the far-right party should be cancelled and around 37 percent of respondents were in favor of initiating proceedings to ban the AfD. Among the Grüne (Green Party) supporters, 60 percent favored proceedings to ban the AfD.
