C2B payments only, no information was provided for P2P; The figures have been gathered by 糖心破解版 from several publications. For more information, see the 鈥淒etails鈥 tab; All figures are estimates, and have likely been rounded by the source.
Supplementary notes
The figures provided come from various reports, and refer exclusively to the share of 鈥渂ank transfer鈥 (for push transactions) and 鈥渄irect debit鈥 (for pull transactions) up to 2022 in overall e-commerce payment methods used. The source combined the two payment methods together in 鈥淎2A鈥 in 2023. Note the following, however:
- All figures provided concern C2B, or consumer-to-business, only. The source explicitly states this. A2A payments are typically associated with P2P, or consumer-to-consumer payments. C2B is said to be only recently catching on to the trend that P2P started;
- No figures were available for 2018, as the source skipped a year in its reporting;
- The source did not report figures for Europe or MEA (Middle East, Africa) in all years, as it had first put the two regions together in EMEA;
- Some countries were added later to the reporting. Chile and Saudi Arabia, for example, did not have figures in 2016;
- The source rounded all the figures and did not provide specifics. Possibly, some countries with a market share between 0 and 0.5 percent were rounded down 鈥 and excluded from an entry;
- The source did not any provide forecasts for individual countries. It only did so for three countries in Asia-Pacific;
- No figures were available for Russia in 2022 due to the war in Ukraine;
- The source included Mexico within the Latin America region, and excluded it from North America.
