Account-to-account (A2A) payments for e-commerce transactions are forecast to grow by a CAGR of around **** percent between 2025 and 2030, becoming an important alternative payment method. A2A or account-to-account payments refers to direct payments from one party to the other without the need for an intermediary. Such intermediaries are card rails from the likes of Visa and Mastercard. An important example of an A2A application in Latin America is Brazil's Pix – an app developed by the country's central bank and one of the world's main brands using real-time payments technology.Ìý
