In 2023, ** billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) were exported from Russia's two major plants, Yamal LNG, and Sakhalin 2, to Europe and Asia. These two regions were the main destinations of Russian LNG exports. While Yamal LNG supplied LNG to both European and Asian markets, Sakhalin-2 exported exclusively to countries in Asia.
