In 2023, France went through an important movement of protests against the pension reform carried out by Emmanuel Macron's government. During the Spring of 2023, some demonstrations were affected by violent actions. According to a survey conducted in this context in , ** percent of the French respondents believed police violence during demonstrations was a reality. In comparison, only ** percent of the French affiliated with Macron's majority party Renaissance, believed so. And there were ** percent of the French respondents affiliated with La France Insoumise, the main left opposition party, who believed police brutality during demonstrations was a reality.Â
