As of January 2025, fans of the NBA in the United States were noticeably younger than the other "Big Four" U.S. sports leagues (NFL, MLB, and NHL). In total, 35.8 percent of NBA fans were aged below 35. In contrast, 26.8 percent of MLB fans were aged 13 to 34, while 22.6 percent were over 65 years old.Â
