As of 2024, the global landscape of State-Owned Investor (SOI) funds was dominated by three regions. Almost half of the top 20 SOI funds worldwide were located in Europe, the majority of these SOI were in the form of central banks. North America had the largest SOI fund by total assets globally, managing almost trillion U.S. dollars. Asian domiciled central banks took the second and third spot, with the Bank of Japan and the People's Bank of China, both managing over **** trillion U.S. dollars in assets.
