Germany came in second place with about 101.4 billion passenger-kilometers. The United Kingdom took third place with about 60 billion passenger-kilometers. This is in contrast with the total length of rail network in Europe, where Germany had 38,691 kilometers of rail while France had 27,617 kilometers of rail.
